The Chadron City School Board has authorized Associated Brokers to sell the Alpha school building to be sold at auction.  The school is situated on 2.60 acres, and is accessible from Highway 20.  The school was built in 1950.  The main floor has an office, three classrooms, and two 1/2 baths.  The basement has a large multi-purpose room, kitchen, storage room, and mechanical room, along with a seperate entrance.  Propane forced air heat, private well and septic.  

The building is constructed of concrete block with brick exterior.  There is a large, 72 x 108 asphalt pad on the west side of the school.  The property has a perimeter fence.  This building has several options for a new life. Many former schools have been converted into homes, offices, workshops, craft business, etc. 

The property will have a positive sale once a minimum bid of $50,000.00 is met. 

Also selling will be numerous desks / tables / and chairs, piano, organ, scoreboard, file cabintes, TV's, projectors, carts, warming cabinet, banquet tables, furnace filters, office chairs, books, plus much more.  The school is still in the process of determining what personal property will be sold. 

Auction will be held August 1, 2022 @ 6:00 pm, at the site.  The school is located 2.5 miles east of Chadron, on the north side of Highway 20.  Terms are 10% down day of auction, balance on or before September 1, 2022.
